EDIBLES GUIDE

Typical Doses & Effects*

Edibles not only take longer to kick in than most other consumption methods, but they last longer too. Don’t overdo it—start small and progress gradually. Everyone processes cannabis, especially edibles, differently. As the saying goes, "Start low, go slow."

*Effects and onset time vary by user.

(THC per dose)

2.5 MG

Good for beginners and those who don’t want to be couch-locked. Provides a mild effect and can help relieve pain, anxiety, and aid in sleeping.

5 MG

A much more prominent effect that will likely bring on euphoria, laughter, and stronger symptom relief. Expect impaired coordination.

15 MG

If you’re not an experienced cannabis user who consumes it multiple times per week, you don’t want to surpass 10mg. Strong euphoria and sedation is to be expected with 15mg. You may want to try our high potency chocolates or gumdrops.

100 MG

Best saved for extremely experienced cannabis users. For the unaccustomed, the side effects can include nausea, a rapid heart rate, paranoia, and more. Looking for a 100mg bite? Check out our Queen Bee gumdrops!

FAQS

  • What are edibles?

A consumable infused with cannabis. They’re available in two main categories:

sublinguals that dissolve under your tongue and orally ingested, which are ingested and processed by the liver.

Sublingual edibles include tinctures, hard candies, and mints. Orally ingested edibles can be found in a number of different forms, but are most commonly seen as chocolate bars, gumdrops, and baked goods.

  • What can I expect when I consume a sublingual edible?

Sublingual edibles have a faster onset than orally ingested edibles, with patients often feeling their effects within 15 minutes. These effects last roughly 2-3 hours.

  • What can I expect when I consume an orally ingested edible?

Orally ingested edibles gradually take effect over a period of 30-60 minutes, typically, with a total duration of somewhere between 4-8 hours.

  • The onset of edibles is gradual. Expect the effects to increase over a 1-2 hour period.

If you get too high, remember that it will pass. Drink plenty of fluids and try to distract yourself with a Netflix binge.

  • Where should I start?

After consuming an edible, we advise waiting at least 2 hours before consuming additional edibles, as onset time can be delayed. If you’re still not where you want to be, try another.
